Dive into the heart of Thai cuisine with a hands-on cooking class in Chiang Mai, where tradition meets local lifestyle. Learn to cook authentic Thai dishes from a friendly local family, surrounded by the peaceful greenery of their organic herb garden.


Your day begins with a hotel pickup and a short ride to a nearby local market, where your instructor will guide you through the vibrant stalls filled with fresh herbs, vegetables, and spices. Learn how to choose the best ingredients while discovering the unique flavors that define Thai cooking.


Next, head to the family’s beautiful organic kitchen garden, where you’ll pick your own herbs, lemongrass, chilies, and kaffir lime leaves to use in your recipes. Under the guidance of your host, you’ll prepare a variety of traditional dishes — from spicy soups and stir-fried classics to flavorful curries and desserts.


Choose your preferred dishes from each category:

  • Soup: Tom Yum (hot and sour prawn soup) or Tom Kha Gai (chicken in coconut milk)

  • Main Dish: Pad Thai, Fried Rice, or Stir-fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts

  • Curry: Create your own curry paste — red, green, Panang, Massaman, or Khao Soi — and cook it into a rich, creamy curry with chicken or tofu
