Begin your journey in the early hours of the morning as you set off to conquer one of Bali’s most famous natural landmarks—Mount Batur, an active volcano overlooking Lake Batur. Guided by friendly locals who have grown up exploring these trails, you’ll hike beneath a sky full of stars before reaching the summit in time for the first light of dawn.

As the sun rises, the landscape comes alive with glowing shades of orange and pink, offering an unforgettable panorama of Bali’s volcanic highlands. After taking in the stunning views, enjoy a well-earned breakfast at the summit, where your guide will prepare simple but satisfying food, such as eggs cooked with volcanic steam, along with fresh fruit, tea, and coffee.

With the morning light illuminating the surrounding mountains and lake, it’s the perfect time for photos and reflection before beginning your descent down the volcano’s rugged slopes. Your adventure doesn’t end with the hike. Once you return to the base, unwind and refresh your body at the Mount Batur Natural Hot Springs, where warm mineral waters soothe tired muscles while you enjoy views of the surrounding valleys.

To complete your journey, visit a traditional Balinese coffee plantation, where you’ll sample locally grown beans and learn about the island’s rich coffee-making traditions before returning to your hotel or the Mt. All guests are charged at the adult rate regardless of age. The trek involves a fair amount of walking, so a reasonable level of fitness is advised. Showers are available, but the number of facilities is limited and access is on a first-come, first-served basis. Pickup times: Kuta/Legian 1:30 AM; Seminyak 1:30 AM; Nusa Dua 1:30 AM; Jimbaran 1:30 AM; Canggu 1:30 AM; Sanur 2:00 AM; Ubud 2:15 AM. Return transfer is included back to your hotel or another drop-off point within the covered areas listed above.
