Your experience begins with a short introduction explaining the history, symbolism, and craftsmanship behind Turkish mosaic lamps. You’ll learn how this centuries-old art became one of the most recognizable decorative elements in Turkish culture.
Next, place a geometric template onto a glass globe and start designing your lamp using over 45 vibrant mosaic stones and glass beads. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll carefully build your own pattern and bring it to life using traditional techniques.
While your lamp sets, relax with freshly brewed Turkish tea or coffee accompanied by homemade cookies. During this break, your host shares stories about Istanbul’s landmarks, local traditions, and hidden corners of the city.
To finish, assemble the remaining parts of your lamp and prepare it for travel. You’ll leave the workshop with a beautifully handcrafted mosaic lamp, safely packed with a protective bag and a US-compatible adapter — a meaningful souvenir you created yourself.
